Awareness is a project aimed at increasing recognition of human rights among the public and decision-makers in Libya and contributing to the improvement of the human rights situation in the country. The project focuses on awareness-raising activities such as public debates and dialogue sessions, in addition to capacity-building workshops, as well as enhancing the capabilities of local civil society organizations, social activists, human rights defenders, and government officials to exchange knowledge and discuss issues.
The project primarily targets young individuals of both genders, aged between 16 and 35, with the purpose of empowering them to improve the human rights situation in Libya and enhancing the capacities of the organizations they work with to continue their work in the field of human rights beyond the project’s duration.
