A capacity-building program empowering youth to play an active role in promoting peace and supporting democracy. The project trained 22 young men and women in specialized sessions on public speaking in English, debating and logic, dialogue management and conflict resolution, and civic engagement.
In addition to training, the program included inspirational sessions by successful individuals, including Dr. Mohamed Elzoubia, Mr. Mohamed Hamouda, Mr. Abdurrahman Al-Ajili, Ms. Laila Al-Turki, and Ms. Inas Meloud, discussing various topics related to building young leadership.
ُEmpowering the Libyan Youth Program was implemented from February 5th to February 15th, 2018, for 22 English-proficient Libyan youth. The project team consisted of experienced individuals, including project manager Fadwa Al-Kharraz, an assistant professor at Misrata University with extensive experience in civil society and project management, and Ali Abdullatif, an English graduate and project coordinator at Misrata University with previous experience in translation and project organization. Trainers included Mohamed Abu Snaina and Dr. Laila El-Naggar.
